• Sunday Morning Bible Study 9:00 AM

  We would like to invite you to visit our Sunday School classes, which begin at 9:00 a.m.

  Senior Adult Class:
  Age Group: 60+
  In-depth study of the Books of the Bible
  Current book of the Bible being taught: Daniel
  Class leader: Gloria Critchfield

  This class thrives on open discussion. Audio Visual aids are intertwined into the lessons. Study is designed for life application as we view God's word and learn about the cultural times of the biblical characters.

  The book of Acts was written to complete the story the author, Doctor Luke, began in the Gospel of Luke. Originally Acts was the second volume of a two-volume history of the beginning of Christianity, which was circulated together in the early churches. Not long after AD 100 the two volumes were separated, and the Gospel of Luke was circulated as part of the fourfold Gospel along with books by Matthew, Mark, and John—books that record the basic facts about Jesus Christ. The first volume of the history came to be known as the Gospel According to Luke. The second volume came to be called the Acts of the Apostles. The two books are two parts of the same story—the story of Jesus. The first tells about “all that Jesus began both to do and teach” until his ascension (Acts 1:1 NKJV). The second picks up the Jesus story after his resurrection and carries it forward about thirty years, tracing the spread of the gospel from Jerusalem to Rome through the small group of true believers he left behind.

• Out Live Your Life Study Sunday Evening 6:00 PM

  Pastor Ray Gurney will be leading us though Out Live Your Life Bible Study by Max Lucado. God has given this generation everything we need to alter the course of human suffering. He invites us to outlive our lives, not just in heaven but here on earth. Are you ready to live in such a way that your death is just eh beginning of your life.

  Adult Bible study we are studing the Power of the Holy Spirit in Your Life and prayer meeting: Led by Pastor Ray

  In our Wednesday evening Bible Study time, we have begun a study about The Holy Spirit. As we start this study we are asking that God’s power be demonstrated in our lives like in the day of Pentecost. The day of Pentecost was the beginning of God’s harvest in this world; it will be completed when Christ comes again. We know that God gives direction by means of the Holy Spirit who makes Christ real to us. Since Pentecost, the Holy Spirit is the link between the first and second advents of Jesus. He applies the work of Jesus Christ to men in this age. He came because He had a work to do in the world, in the Church, and in the individual Christian, as we will discover through this study.
  The coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost marked a crucial turning point in the history of God’s dealings with the human race. It is one of five past events, all of which are essential components of the Christian gospel: the Incarnation, the Atonement, the Resurrection, the Ascension, and Pentecost. A sixth component is still future: the Second Coming of Jesus.
  Dear Church, we have work to be done before Christ’s return. We have been empowered by the Holy Spirit, Who lives within us. Today, we need to rely on Him for power and direction and let Him complete the great commission we’ve received from our Lord Jesus and work through us.
  Please join us on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 PM or come early and have supper. This is a time when we have group participation. Maybe if you have had questions this would be a good place to find the answer.
